Attend TAC's Counties at the Capitol Day
County officials from across Texas will gather in Austin on Tuesday, Jan. 28, for the Texas Association of Counties' Counties at the Capitol Legislative Day. The daylong event provides an opportunity to engage with legislators and their staffs just two weeks after the 89th Legislature gets underway.
The event starts with a breakfast session from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at TAC's Events Center, 1210 San Antonio St. Guest lawmakers will discuss key issues affecting counties.
Afterward, county officials are encouraged to visit the Capitol to meet with their legislators. These one-on-one meetings are a chance for you to visit with legislators about issues impacting your county. We encourage you to schedule these meetings as soon as possible.
The day wraps up with a Legislative Reception from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the TAC building. The informal gathering offers a chance for county officials to network with legislators, their staffs and other county leaders.
Free parking will be available in TAC's garage for all attendees.
