Join the Texas Association of Counties for our Counties at the Capitol Legislative Day on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025. Held early each legislative session, this event offers you an invaluable opportunity to hear from key legislative stakeholders and TAC's Legislative Services team about the top issues important to county government. Learn how you can get involved in the legislative process and make your voice heard.

Virtual registration is available for the Tuesday Morning Breakfast and Working With the Legislature sessions. A WebEx link will be provided to the email address on the registration, the Friday prior to the event.

We do not have a hotel room block for this one-day event. However, many surrounding hotels may offer a government rate upon request with proper identification.

Tuesday, Jan. 28 TAC Fourth Floor Events Center
8-8:30 a.m.	Tuesday Morning Breakfast Enjoy a hot breakfast while TAC's Legislative Services staff highlights pressing issues affecting counties and county officials during the 89th Legislature. Discuss your concerns and priorities.
8:30-10:30 a.m.	Working With the Legislature Gain insights as key legislators and others provide a session overview. Learn how you can effectively engage with lawmakers.
Tuesday Afternoon (Texas Capitol)	Meetings With Legislators Schedule appointments with your legislators and their staffs in advance to discuss the issues important to you and your county. This individual activity is a chance to connect one on one.
4:30-6:30 p.m.	Legislative Reception Invite your legislators to join you for a reception in the TAC building, 1210 San Antonio St. This informal gathering offers a relaxed setting to network with legislators and their staff, as well as your peers in county service from across the state. Be sure to extend the invitation to your legislator even if you are unable to attend yourself.
