    Risk Management On Demand

Counties must invest in employee training and development to stay on top of regulatory changes, keep up with new workplace technology, ensure employees’ safety and reduce county losses. Risk Management On Demand provides convenient and relevant risk management continuing education for TAC Risk Management Pool (TAC RMP) members as a benefit of membership.

TAC RMP helps counties achieve this by providing Pool members with on demand training carefully selected to meet the particular needs of counties in the areas of human resources, law enforcement, risk control (safety), risk management and claims. Check back often as we build our library to better serve our members.

    First Amendment Audits

Imagine someone walks into your office holding a cell phone and begins recording you without offering an explanation. How would you feel? What would you say? What would you do? First Amendment auditing is a social movement that involves citizens photographing, recording or monitoring people and events from publicly accessible office areas and common locations in or around courthouses and other county facilities. These self-proclaimed auditors test their freedom of access and measure how you will respond. The actions of these auditors are often intimidating. Their recorded interactions are often posted on social media platforms and result in civil litigation. This session will discuss First Amendment protections and outline steps county officials and employees can take to prevent costly litigation and avoid becoming a national social media phenomenon.
