Boiler Inspections for TAC RMP Property Members
The Texas Association of Counties Risk Management Pool (TAC RMP) provides state-required boiler inspections at no cost to members in its Property Program.
Through state-required inspections and recommended maintenance best practices, TAC RMP and its members can protect county resources. Poor maintenance and boiler failure can lead to expensive repairs, and in extreme cases can lead to severe damage to buildings and possible injuries to employees and the general public.
These no-cost inspections are provided in partnership with County Reinsurance Limited (CRL) and Hartford Steam Boiler (HSB).
HSB was founded in 1866 and is the largest single provider of boiler and pressure vessel-related inspection services in North America. The company’s extensive knowledge of these systems helps ensure your boilers not only meet state requirements. They also provide recommendations to ensure reliable and efficient operation for the life of these systems.
Need an inspection?
HSB maintains a comprehensive list of boilers requiring inspections and will contact members to schedule an inspection prior to expiration of the unit’s certificate. TAC RMP members can also request an inspection by contacting the HSB Inspection Hotline.

Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) is the state agency tasked with licensing and regulation of boilers and pressurized vessels.
Once a boiler has been inspected, HSB will submit a recommendation to TDLR for issuance of a new inspection certificate. An invoice will be sent to you and payment can be submitted via mail or paid at TDLR’s online payment page by logging into your account.
You must create an account before you can submit payment through the payment page.
Learn more about TDLR and get general information concerning boilers and boiler safety.
