May the commissioners court adopt uniform personnel policies for the entire county?
Local Government Code §157.021 authorizes the commissioners court of any county to adopt and enforce uniform rules on overtime and compensatory time for certain assistants, deputies and other employees whose compensation is set or approved by the commissioners court. AG Opinion GA-0857 also discusses the commissioners court authority in regard to uniform personnel policies.
