FY21-24 Restoration and Enhancement Grant Program
The R&E Program provides grants for initiating, restoring, or enhancing intercity rail passenger transportation operations. The objective is to help offset initial operating losses while the new or expanded Intercity rail passenger transportation services build their ridership and revenue base, since such services and frequencies do not realize their longer-term ridership/revenue potential immediately upon the start of operations.
