Operation Lone Star (OLS) Grant Program, FY2026

The Governor's Public Safety Office is accepting applications for local projects that support OLS until March 13, 2025. The program aims to enhance interagency border security operations supporting OLS, including facilitating actions to deter and interdict criminal activity. 

Eligible applicants must be a county or municipality located in a county with a disaster declaration relating to border security.  The applicant's county must also be in the most current Governor's Proclamation renewing the Border Security Disaster Declaration.

Eligible funding activities for local governments include:

• Law Enforcement,

• Jail Operations,

• Human Remains Processing,

• Court Administration, and

• Fire/EMS operations.
