    Emissions Reduction Incentive Grants Program (ERIG) 

    The Emissions Reduction Incentive Grants Program (ERIG) provides funding to repower or replace older locomotives, marine vessels, stationary equipment, or non-road equipment to reduce nitrogen oxides (NOX) emissions in Texas. To be eligible, all emission-reducing projects must be located in the following nonattainment and affected counties : Anderson, Bastrop, Bexar, Brazoria, Caldwell, Chambers, Collin, Comal, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, El Paso, Fort Bend, Freestone, Galveston, Gregg, Guadalupe, Hardin, Harris, Harrison, Hays, Henderson, Hood, Howard, Hunt, Hutchinson, Jefferson, Johnson, Kaufman, Liberty, Montgomery, Navarro, Nueces, Orange, Panola, Parker, Rockwall, Rusk, San Patricio, Smith, Tarrant, Titus, Travis, Upshur, Waller, Wilson, Williamson, Wise.

    Anticipated Total Awarded: $55,000,000
    Maximum Award: $20,000 or $35,000 per ton of NOx reduced, depending on the equipment replaced; reimbursement cannot exceed 80% of equipment cost
