DR-4781 — April/May Severe Storms and Flooding
Communities seeking funds must have a FEMA approved Hazard Mitigation Plan at the time the project is submitted to FEMA and at the time an award is made except for projects to develop or update mitigation plans. Finding priorities are for:
- Eligible jurisdictions within the declared counties for the disaster declaration.
- Projects that address the principal hazards associated with the disaster declaration (including requests made for assistance from the Texas State Operations Center).
- Projects that demonstrate the greatest community benefit.
- Projects that clearly link to the hazard mitigation plan.
- Projects that focus on multi-jurisdictional, regional, watershed, or council of government (COG) levels.
Any eligible activity in FEMA’s 2023 HMA Guidance may be considered for funding.
Jurisdictions interested in submitting funding requests are encouraged to attend one of several scheduled information sessions. Go here for the times of and to register for one of these sessions.
