Blog: TAC comms team earns top national awards
Writing, design, podcast, and video products recognized
Texas Association of Counties reeled in seven communication awards from the National Association of County Information Officers (NACIO) during the weekend, recognizing the wide breadth of work the Association produced in 2023.
The Association's communications department was recognized during the NACIO award ceremony at the National Association of Counties annual conference in Tampa. Among the awards the team received were the top prize — best in category — in three areas: design, newsletter and podcast.
The award-winning design from staff member Miranda Baker provided TAC members clean, eye-catching infographics on the importance of multifactor authentication, as counties continue to fend off cybersecurity threats.
The TAC On Point newsletter, produced by staff member Erica Macioge, allows internal employees and TAC Board and Pool Board members to stay engaged on the Association's meaningful service to its members.
The recognized podcast episode of Texas County Voice, produced by staff member Julie Chang and overseen by colleague Jody Seaborn, spotlighted Randall County Commissioner Eric Barry's impressive background as an opera singer.
The Association's communication team is consistently recognized nationally for its work in service to county government. Whether it is county programs being highlighted in a story for County magazine or in Texas County Voice or providing information to help officials better do their important jobs, the Association's talent is always available to members.
