Paved path on ground "The school district is coming to my crew for help removing tree debris from their property. I've got no problem with doing it, but there is a nagging thought in my head that there may be another step."

May the county assist a school district within its boundaries with tree debris removal?

Yes, if the county and the school district complete an interlocal agreement under Chapter 791 of the Government Code and the county received adequate compensation for its work. See AG OP. No. H-1019a (June 23, 1977) which discusses Dallas County’s authority to pave a parking lot for a city or school district as long as the county is compensated.
