    Does TAC have a best practices resource for the county procurement process?

    Generally, public procurement should provide open and fair competition that results in selecting the best value and quality for the expenditure of public funds. Counties should implement best practices that may include the following:

    • Adopt written policies and procedures;
    • Identify the funding source prior to the procurement process;
    • Maintain documentation; and
    • Create standard procurement documents
