Judge's gavel being hit against table "We've had some reports from local residents about an unruly gaming room in my county. Can we inspect the gaming room for ourselves? If so, who can we send to do the inspection?"

May a county inspect gaming rooms located in the county?

Yes. Under Local Government Code §234.136, a peace officer or county employee may inspect a business in the county to determine how many amusement redemption machines subject to regulation are located on the premises and if the business is in compliance with state law and local regulations.
