On Tuesday, over 200 members of the Justices of the Peace and Constables Association (JPCA) gathered at the Capitol to engage with legislators, connect with fellow members and advocate for the association’s priorities. The whirlwind day included several highlights:

    • Sen. Mayes Middleton (R-Galveston) presented JPCA with a Senate Resolution, while Rep. Janie Lopez (R-San Benito) recognized JPCA Day with a House Resolution.
    • Six judges on the Court of Criminal Appeals met with the group in their courtroom.
    • Speaker Dustin Burrows addressed JPCA members before posing for a group photo.
