Join the Texas Association of Counties next Tuesday, April 29, for County Government Day at the Capitol. County officials are invited to gather for a barbecue lunch and to help highlight the essential work of county government.

This event offers county officials a chance to connect informally with state legislators and their staff over a meal featuring renowned Texas barbecue from Louie Mueller Barbecue in Taylor. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in the Legislative Conference Room, Capitol Extension, Room E2.002.

Sen. Robert Nichols is sponsoring a County Government Day resolution in the Senate. Rep. Cecil Bell Jr. is carrying the resolution in the House.
