    2022 Salary Survey

    TAC offers publications to help counties navigate through the process of county government.

    The Texas Association of Counties publishes a survey of the salaries of all elected county officials and county auditors every even-numbered year. A digital version of the 2022 Salary Survey is available here. The online version has been revised since the survey appeared in print to account for the following corrections: 

    This document has been altered since publication due to the following corrections:

    • Added Guadalupe County salary information, all offices, on May 16, 2022.
    • Corrected Rusk County Attorney's salary data on May 20, 2022.
    • Corrected Loving County Attorney's salary supplement data on May 20, 2022.
    • Corrected Rusk County Attorney's salary on May 26, 2022.
    • Corrected travel allowances for all Webb County officials on June 1, 2022.
    • Corrected tax assessor-collector salary information for all counties on June 1, 2022.
    • Corrected salary data for Kerr County officials on July 5, 2022.
    • Corrected travel allowances for Montague County officials on July 5, 2022.
    • Corrected Hood County budget and bonded indebtedness data on July 7, 2022.

    An MS Excel workbook is also available with the base salary data from Section One of the 2022 Salary Survey (plus the salary ranges of constables and justices of the peace). The workbook includes the changes noted above.
