83rd Legislature Interim Charges
On Jan. 31, Speaker Joe Straus released an array of interim charges for House committees to study over the next year in preparation for the 84th Legislative Session. The charges address many issues affecting the state and county government, including matters relating to transportation, mental health, criminal justice, elections, natural resources, and taxes, among others. The complete list of charges is available here.
Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst has released a number of interim charges to a range of Senate committees, with more charges to come. We will continue to update this document as charges are released.
