ERS-Rural Economy and Population. The USDA Economic Research Service’s State Fact sheets provide state level data on rural population, employment, income, farm characteristics, and farm financial indicators. The County Typology Codes classifies rural counties based on primary economic activity.

National Agriculture Library. This Web site provides access to NAL's extensive collection, numerous related links, and a gateway to its associated institutions.
 
Texas Agricultural Statistics Service. TASS publishes current and historic statistics on agricultural commodities and activities for the state of Texas.
 
Texas Forest Service - Economic Development. Lots of information on forests in Texas. Be sure to take a look at their publications. An overview for some areas is available through their Texas Forest Sector Economic Impact web site.
 
USDA Economic Research Service. Provides access to numerous data sets, publications, and reports from ERS.
 
USDA-NASS, Statistical Bulletins. These bulletins contain final estimates, including revisions made by the Agricultural Statistics Board (ASB), for five-year periods preceding the Census of Agriculture.
 
USDA Texas Fact Sheet. Farm financial indicators, farm characteristics, and general data on state population, employment, income, etc.
